Our Favorite Activity Booking Sites
Get Your Guide
We love GetYourGuide for its user-friendly experience and endless options. You can find tours in virtually every city, and booking is very easy right on the website or app.
Viator
Viator, similar to GetYourGuide, is another great site for booking any kind of tour, from city walking tours to hot air balloon rides. I check both sites to see which deals are best.
CityPASS
When we visit North American cities, I swear by CityPASS to make the most out of my trip. It offers fantastic discounts on packages that include multiple attractions of your choice.
Best Way to Get Data Abroad
My favorite way to stay connected when I’m traveling is with Airalo’s eSIM. I used to wrestle with physical SIM cards or face sky-high bills from my local provider, but Airalo has made it so much easier and more affordable for me to get reliable data wherever I go.
Great Travel Insurance Options
Safety Wing
Safety Wing is the best travel insurance if you’re looking for simplicity and affordability. They have a straightforward claim process, a plan specific to digital nomadsand great travel assistance.
Squaremouth
Instead of being a standalone insurance provider, Squaremouth serves as a comprehensive database of reputable insurance options. This gives you more flexibility to tailor your coverage.
World Nomads
World Nomads is ideal for extreme sports enthusiasts and avid adventurers. They have great emergency assistance that ensures you’re well-supported during your adventures.
Best Accommodation Sites
Booking.com
My personal favorite booking site is Booking.com, mostly because of the ease of use and Genius program. They have a huge database of accommodations with ways to filter by amenities, ratings and accommodation types. With the Genius program, the more you book, the more discounts you receive, which is always a win for me.
TripAdvisor
Similar to Booking.com, TripAdvisor has a comprehensive database with countless accommodation options. They have some great travel forums and local guides as well that offer insights and travel tips. They also have some nice trip planning tools with itineraries and map integrations.
Hostelworld
If you’re a budget traveler like me, Hostelworld is a great hostel-specific database that allows you to sort by location, price, and rating. They also offer a loyalty program with discounts for frequent users. They also offer great booking flexibility and free cancellation options.
Best Travel Products Featured on Our Amazon Storefront
We have curated ideas lists featuring our favorite travel products and gear. From our favorite travel clothing, useful tech gadgets, hiking gear and more, check out our ever expanding storefront featuring recommendations that we have personally tested.
Best Transportation Sites
CheapOAir
CheapOAir compares prices across multiple airlines, hotels, and rental car companies to help you find the best deals. They often provide special promotions and discounts not available elsewhere along with price alert features. One of my favorite features is that they offer 24/7 customer support.
Discover Cars
I have never found better car rental deals than I have on Discover Cars. Boasting an easy to use database and fantastic prices, it is by far the best booking site for car rentals. The prices are transparent with no hidden fees. They allow you to add insurance options right during the booking process as well.
Omio
I like Omio because it allows multi-mode search with the ability to book multiple modes of transportation including trains, buses and flights all in one place. It’s easy to book directly through the site and there are reviews and advice forums from users who can recommend the best routes and transportation modes.
Rail Europe
Rail Europe simplifies train travel across Europe by offering an extensive network of train services, including high-speed, regional, and scenic routes. You can book tickets, seat reservations, and Eurail/Interrail passes all in one place. The platform provides detailed timetable information, user reviews, and customer support to enhance your travel experience.
